[The journal opens up when Kanji's foot tips it over. The camera shows the tree tops, leaves dark and green with tiny splotches of a blue sky showing through. The voice of an irate male is heard shouting at the top of his lungs at no one in particular.]

Can't believe I'm back here with these dumb ass wings. The fuck is wrong with these stupid bastards that they can't leave me back home where things are finally calm?! It's Golden Week!

And why the hell are these wings so...pink? Do I look like a dude who wears pink?

[And suddenly, Kanji's very angry face is in front of the camera. It's obvious that he's in the New Feather pants and no shirt. He really doesn't look like a guy who should even know what the color pink is, let alone wear it.

His grey eyes go wide before a slight blush shows on his cheeks.]

Fuck!

[And then the journal is slammed shut.]

[Later, when he's dressed in his normal clothes, Kanji can be found looking for a place to stay, since he already knows how Luceti works. After finding an apartment, he's going grocery shopping and stopping off to get some supplies to occupy his time.

He'll also stop off at Seventh Heaven for dinner and to see who's working there. He stops off at the school and Azalea to check in with his former teacher. He would like to see when the school is back in session.]

Ah... Have you considered the possibility that pink could be the color of your youthly fighting spirit?!

[Okay, so maybe it'd be more flattering if it was on somebody who didn't look like they were part of a biker gang, but hey.]

[After recovering from the most recent shift, Naoto had decided to keep her journal off today. She'd spent most of the day at the library, but had so little food left in her apartment that grocery shopping also became a necessity.]

[She catches sight of the wings before she had the chance to put anything in her cart; they were rather hard to miss, considering that they were very large, and very pink. It takes her a moment, but she soon realizes that she knows the person attached to them, as well.]

[She stops in her tracks.]

[It had been rather foolish of her not to see this coming. Of all the research she'd done on Luceti, she'd found many people with friends from their homeworld. She'd also found that denizens of earth made up the largest portion of Luceti's residents. Taking both of these factors into account, it would seem like it'd only be a matter of time before other members of the Investigation Team showed up. Yet, she'd never even considered the possibility.]

[On the one hand, this was rather frustrating. It was proving difficult enough for her to find her way back home; she didn't want her friends to be stuck in the same situation, especially if Luceti proved to be as dangerous as everyone had warned her.]

[On the other hand, she had missed her friends dearly. It had been very difficult coming here alone, and knowing that someone else from the Investigation Team was here made this place seem much more like a home.]

[Everything withstanding, she's still happy beyond words, and it's difficult to contain her joy.]

[But, since it appears that Kanji hasn't registered her yet, she'll take a moment to compose herself before walking over. Thankfully, it doesn't take long, and soon she finds herself walking over, as calm as she could be.]

It's good to see you again, Kanji-kun.

Now you do. Is that a problem?

[Pink is still considered an acceptable enough color for a boy in Firo's time. Though he imagines a guy who looks this old wouldn't appreciate wearing a color that's mostly for babies.]

[Eleanor isn't quite sure what to think about Kanji suddenly appearing on the journals. She is happy, of course, but the strange awkwardness that surrounded their friendship taints everything just a bit. Still, she can't help but respond, and her smile is...amused? So that's probably a good thing.]

...Were they pink before?

[Her own rust-splotched white wings flutter as she asks.]

I-I believe there was someone here who actually asked about dying their wings awhile back. I don't think its detrimental to them so-so maybe you could give that shot? [ Helios isn't really too caring or judgmental about wing color. But he can tell that it's upsetting the other so hopefully his offered advice might be of use? ]

Well, you do now.

[Look like a dude who wears pink, that is. Sorry, Jean is just bad at holding in smart-ass comments. But he feels less bad about it, since this guy is talking like he's already been here before and knows what's going on.]

[ If he visits the school, there is a note on the door indicating that it will open again on the 17th.

However, his teacher is at Azalea, though she's momentarily occupied with some of the overgrowing plants thanks to the time shifts.]

Honestly, if I have to harvest this plant another time today...

[Kanji leans over the journal's camera, face an obviously not happy scowl as he looks at the ninja guy. He kinda recognizes him. Maybe? But it's not important.

He turns around so Lee can see the baby blue and cotton candy pink wings clearly against his broad back before facing it again.]

That's the dumbest thing I've heard all day.

[Okay, look, Kanji's used to the dumb puns. He really is. I mean, you can't be friends with Ted and not. But that? That was bad.]

Look, I dunno who you are, but don't quit your day job.

[She's just going to ignore the ranting about the wings, and their color, and being here, and the fact the color is funny, and- yeah.

As usual, she's pretty deadpan when she responds.]

Welcome back. Sounds like a bumpy landing.

[He's secure in his manhood. ~~For the most part.~~ But he lived with these dumb things for six months the last time he was here and now they're PINKER than before. It doesn't help his self-confidence at all.

And to have this....girl in pink making a little comment and smirking at him like that isn't helping his tempter either.]

Yeah, I'm sure they're fine for someone like you, but they ain't exactly appropriate on me!

[At the sound of her voice, Kanji drops a couple of the cans in his hands on his toes. He turns quickly, ignoring the pain he's feeling so that he can make sure he's not hearing things.

No, she's really there and he doesn't know what the fuck to do.]

N-Naoto! You're here too?!

[Kanji is not pleased to be donning a set of feathers that look like they came from a baby blanket... That is his main issue. That was his issue last time too.]

Yeah, I don't want them! It's not a hard to get concept!

[He looks into the journal and feels his stomach do the strange flopping it would do whenever he saw the girl the last time he was here. And then his cheeks heat to bright splotches and he looks away.]

N-not as much as they are this time. They were more blue last time.

[Who the fuck is this guy who is talking to him like this? It's not... bad, but he seems to be so damn nervous that it's annoying.]

Why in the...Who the fuck dyes shit that's attached to them?

[Yeah, Kanji knows what's going on around here, from the standard point, but that doesn't make it any easier for him to adjust to being back here after six months.]

Who the fuck asked you?

[ Wow Kanji. Way to be rude to your elders! He was just trying to give you some options, gosh. ] Well it's like dying your hair, isn't it? I mean that's attached to you as well. But if you're not comfortable with that sort of thing there's other methods of giving yourself another appearance.

[ He's had a few thoughts about this, yes. ] If-if you're not opposed to magic that is.

[He stops in the door and watches Raine for a minute, a little taken aback by the veritable jungle that has taken up the shop. He can hear her voice, but he can't actually see her.]

Raine-sensei? You here?

[Thank you, Daria. He would like to ignore all that dumb crap starting now.

And her being deadpan is only what he's come to expect from the serious girl. He can maybe talk to her.]

Thanks. I guess. Didn't think I'd see you again.

[Welcome to an overly pissed off Kanji, Helios. He's not exactly the nicest kid.]

Dyein' your hair? It ain't the same thing at all! Hair's natural. These fuckin' wings are...freaky as hell.
