No, that's fine. I have plenty of ideas about what to do with the hides. Winter's coming up after all.

And, fuck! Tannic acid is what they use to stain some woods. It's pretty foul stuff and stinks like you wouldn't believe. They used to use it for leather-making, but that was hundreds of years ago. Sometimes, my family still does it traditionally, but that takes forever. The trees are pretty common to get the tannin though.

The more modern way is to use regular table salt, hydrochloric acid and some sort of mineral, like chrome, to complete the tanning stages.

Easier to just buy it already made back home. No lie.
