So, what's there to do around here? I've run through all the tiny projects I brought along with me. There's no school, no real selection of goods at the stores anymore, and I'm going insane.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Man, the cops back home couldn't find their asses with both hands, a map, GPS and help. Even this famous detective couldn't catch the person responsible because literally only me and my friends could even find out where this jackass was taking people to kill them!

[No, he's totally serious about this. Inaba cops? Inept. Specially when one of their own was really responsible.]

Uh, yeah, all my friends back home can use magic of one kind or another. Mine just happens to be lighting-based.

The police where I'm from can be soft but I want to think a few of them could muster up enough shits to give to arrest a murderer.

[However lacking in the titan slaying department they may be, with no experience to keep their blades sharp.]

So you're a bunch of damn superheroes. I'd feel pretty good going after a murderer if I had some fancy magic to rely on too.

It wasn't about them not caring. They're just basically incompetent. The only one who was worth a damn was so overworked that he barely saw his family.

And we're not superheroes. We were ordinary people shoved into extraordinary circumstances due to some hijinx caused by a stupid psycho and a crazy Death Goddess. If I'd had my say in things, I would have avoided the confession of all my deep, dark secrets to virtual strangers.
