First stitch - Roommates, free time and hobbies

[Goddammit... It was bad enough that Kanji was living with the weirdo... okay, so, Goku wasn't that bad as a roommate. He was polite and helpful. He didn't judge Kanji on his hobbies. He was actually kinda supportive, in a weird sort of fashion.

It didn't even bother him too much that the other man liked to walk through the apartment half-dressed.... Okay, that first time totally didn't count! Who does that?

But, the towel on the floor of the bathroom, still damp from the power shower he'd taken? NOT cool.]

GET THIS SHIT UP OFF THE FLOOR! RIGHT NOW!

[Video, Later the same day]

[You can see the blond standing in a clothing shop. He's standing in front of a rack of clothes with a pensive look on his face. It's obvious the journal is open and facing out to film him for a purpose. Kanji adjusts the rack before moving to the side to let anyone curious and paying attention to see a display of knitted stuffed toys.]

Yeah, that's perfect.

[He turns to face the journal and tries to smile, but it's obvious he's nervous.]

So, um, name's Kanji Tatsumi for those who don't know me. I just...Look, here's the deal. My family runs a textile shop back home. Since I got here, I've been feelin' homesick. And, uh, I've been doin' stuff that I would back there. Thanks to Rhyme, I got a place to sell them from. So, if you need somethin' repaired or you're looking for a cute plush toy, I'm your guy.

I'll be here on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and all day Sunday.

[He knew about the clothes, but toys? That's a new one.He sort of tilts his head at the whole thing, rather confused over what Kanji was planning on doing.]

Uh, Kanji, how are people going to pay you if they don't have money? Unless you're talkin' figuratively or you're asking for favours.

[Eleanor hadn't given much thought to the clothing shop beyond when she poked her head in from time to time to see if anything caught her eye, but seeing the boy she vaguely recognized from school talking about it on the network had stuck it back into her head. She hadn't really thought about it for anything but clothing, so the idea of using the things there for something else, like mending or building a doll, hadn't occurred to her until just then.]

[And then it promptly stopped occuring to her until she happened to be passing it, and the thought popped back into her head. After a moment or two of hesitation, she stepped inside, looking around quietly. A doll hung from the loop of her skirt, as it always did, and she glanced down at it thoughtfully before she began browsing through the racks to see if anything doll-ish caught her eye. Hmm.]

I want a plush toy!

[ she ignored all the rest of that to focus on the important part. ]

Oh, that's quite admirable of you! I can't say I can think of anything I need right now, but...how nice!

[Kanji-kun, that's so cute. Yukiko's happy to see him doing what he loves.]

[Trunks makes the decision to answer this since he needs a few things repaired as he's ripped or torn them from training so hard.]

Um hi there, would it be possible for you to repair a few shirts and pairs of pants for me? I'll pay you with anything you want since I'd really appreciate since I can't repair them myself.

[Guess who knit her friends gifts both back home, and occasionally in Luceti? That's right, this girl. So Kanji's video feed seems absolutely welcoming to her. Ami smiles as she answers it.]

They look very good. [She doesn't think he'd appreciate 'cute'.] You must work hard on them.

[There isn't the slightest hint of mockery to his tone; he's genuinely curious.]

You wouldn't happen to take requests, would you?

[Kanji was a pretty interesting guy! he didn't seem to mind some of the things that Goku did; though he admittedly wanted to get to know the guy better. he did learn a little bit about his own world though. it sounded pretty similar to Earth in some sense. ...granted it was Earth. just Earth from another universe. ...it actually made sense to Goku. it made things a lot easier for him to understand what Kanji was talking about. just when he was about to take a bite from the greatest sandwich ever made in Luceti--]
