[The journal opens up when Kanji's foot tips it over. The camera shows the tree tops, leaves dark and green with tiny splotches of a blue sky showing through. The voice of an irate male is heard shouting at the top of his lungs at no one in particular.]

Can't believe I'm back here with these dumb ass wings. The fuck is wrong with these stupid bastards that they can't leave me back home where things are finally calm?! It's Golden Week!

And why the hell are these wings so...pink? Do I look like a dude who wears pink?

[And suddenly, Kanji's very angry face is in front of the camera. It's obvious that he's in the New Feather pants and no shirt. He really doesn't look like a guy who should even know what the color pink is, let alone wear it.

His grey eyes go wide before a slight blush shows on his cheeks.]

Fuck!

[And then the journal is slammed shut.]

[Later, when he's dressed in his normal clothes, Kanji can be found looking for a place to stay, since he already knows how Luceti works. After finding an apartment, he's going grocery shopping and stopping off to get some supplies to occupy his time.

He'll also stop off at Seventh Heaven for dinner and to see who's working there. He stops off at the school and Azalea to check in with his former teacher. He would like to see when the school is back in session.]

Aside from the fact that these Malnosso freaks keep kidnappin' me from my home somehow? Yeah, it is.

[Firo can't really talk about messed up priorities, but here he is, judging.]

[Kanji likes to take things one at a time. And since he can't rightly find a Malnosso to punch into the stratosphere or a Third Party member either, he's going with the stupid wings.]

I...Yeah, I guess I could, but one good rain would make it run. Feathers are tricky to paint and dye.

[Yes, he knows that. Shut up.]

They are? Seems to me like you could just dunk 'em in some paint and be done with it.

...Or you could keep 'em hidden under your clothes. That's easier.

[Firo prefers to keep his covered that way.]

It takes a good three or four times of dyeing and painting before the natural oils stop strippin' the color from the feathers. That's what they're supposed to do, after all.

And I hid 'em last time I was here, for over six months, but can't hide 'em when I first wake up, can I?

[Duh. He's gotta do the walk of shame through the village first to get his clothes back.]

Ah, right...

[Firo's done his best to forget that that's a thing.

As he debates offering to bring this guy some clothes or letting him suffer, he has another question:]

How do you know so much about feathers?

[Maybe he learned last time he was here?]

[Yeah, well, Kanji doesn't have the option of forgetting that right now. And he's not happy about it. At least this time he doesn't have to carry out a passed out Yukiko Amagi before he can find his stuff.

And, thanks for focusing on that dumb amount of info, Firo. Now Kanji has to explain that too.]

Family owns a textile shop back home. For like the last hundred years or so, it's been there and my family's run it. We make clothes and sell fabrics and shit like that. Feathers ain't that uncommon.

[Hey, Firo's just here to help.]

Hundreds a' years, huh? That's actually kinda neat--my Family's resturaunt's only been around a few decades.
